Refunds
A special refunds process applies to tickets obtained through SBB Businesstravel:
Refunds of tickets for travel within Switzerland:
Unused or only partially used OnlineTickets and any other tickets ordered through SBB Businesstravel should be sent to your company's travel coordinator once a month. Please consult your company's guidelines and make a note on the ticket explaining why it was not used/only partially used.
An administration fee of CHF 10 is charged for the refund of each OnlineTicket.
For other ticket types...

What is SBB Businesstravel?
SBB Businesstravel is SBB's portal for business customers. Along with a wealth of useful information on corporate mobility, it provides you with the option to print out your rail tickets at your workplace (SBB Ticket Shop Business) as well as with an ongoing overview of business travel within your company (SBB Businessmanager).

How can I register for SBB Businesstravel?
If your company is not yet registered for SBB Businesstravel, please register here.
If your company is already registered, your own personal access point is just two steps away:
1. Ask your in-house travel coordinator for your company's SBB contract number and invoice centre details.
2. Use the contract number and invoice centre information to register yourself as a user in SBB Businesstravel.
What is the difference between an OnlineTicket and an ordinary ticket?
All OnlineTickets:
- can be booked via the internet until shortly before the train's departure time.
- can be printed out at your own workstation.
- are personalised, i.e. only valid with a personal ID.
- are limited to a set date and time.
- cannot be refunded at the ticket counter.

How do I book OnlineTickets?
Register for SBB Businesstravel today. This will give you access to the Ticket Shop Business, where you will be able to book OnlineTickets.

How shortly before departure can I book my OnlineTicket?
Tickets can be booked online right up until a few minutes before the train's departure time and printed out at your workplace. For a stress-free trip, SBB recommends booking the ticket you want at the latest 1 hour before departure.
How do I pay for OnlineTickets?
OnlineTickets can be paid for by credit card or invoice. The agreement between your company and SBB will determine how payment is to be made.
The relevant payment method is specified in the contract and payment will be taken automatically when you order an OnlineTicket.
What are the technical requirements for buying OnlineTickets?

How will I receive my ticket after making the booking?
Depending on the product, tickets purchased using SBB Businesstravel can be printed out by the purchaser, collected at a staffed station or delivered by post. For information on obtaining tickets, please click here.
How can I print out an OnlineTicket?
After making your booking, you can download your OnlineTicket using the Download button displayed on the screen and then print it out. In order to be able to display and print your OnlineTicket, you must have Acrobat Reader version 5 or later installed on your computer. You can download Acrobat Reader free of charge here .
What do I need to remember when printing my OnlineTicket?
OnlineTickets are valid only if printed in portrait format and 100% size on white A4 paper using an ink-jet or laser printer (please do not print in economy mode). Smudged or incomplete printouts will not be accepted. Before you buy your first OnlineTicket, you should use the Test print function to check whether or not your printer can print OnlineTickets correctly.
I am having problems downloading my ticket: what do I need to do?
Try the following two alternatives to complete your download:
After every order, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. This message will contain a link to your OnlineTicket. You can also find a list of your completed orders and the download link in the SBB Ticket Shop Business under "My orders".
Is the e-mail confirmation of the booking also valid as a ticket?
Under no circumstances can the confirmation e-mail be used as a replacement for an OnlineTicket. Confirmation e-mails are intended for your use only and are only designed to give information about a successful booking.
Why is the OnlineTicket not displayed once it has been downloaded?
In order to view and print your OnlineTicket you need Acrobat Reader Version 5 or later. Please check that this is installed on your computer. You can download Acrobat Reader free of charge here.
I am having problems printing out my ticket. What can I do?
In order to view and print your OnlineTicket, you need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. You can download Acrobat Reader free of charge here.
If you can view your OnlineTicket but are still unable to print it out, there may be a problem with your printer or printer settings. Make sure that your printer is correctly connected and installed.
Do I have to print my OnlineTicket in colour?
No. A black and white printout is sufficient.
My OnlineTicket printout is smudged/incomplete. What should I do?
Smudged or incomplete printouts will not be accepted.
Travelling with a ticket that has not been printed out correctly will be seen as travelling without a valid ticket.
You should resolve any problems with your printer and then try printing your OnlineTicket again.
Can OnlineTickets also be purchased for other people?
Yes. Enter the first name and surname of the person who will use the ticket in the corresponding input fields.
