Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel

Friedrich Dürrenmatt, writer and artist: discover his literary and artistic achievements at the Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel (CDN).

The Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel (CDN), designed by Mario Botta, is both a museum and a place of reflection, capturing the spirit of writer and painter Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990). The centre is integrated into the villa that Friedrich Dürrenmatt acquired in 1952 and its large permanent collection offers an extensive insight into his considerable body of artistic work and the literary achievements associated with it. In addition, the large panoramic terrace overlooking Neuchâtel will give you a wonderful view over Lake Neuchâtel to the Alps. The CDN also organises regular temporary exhibitions featuring multidisciplinary artists. And there are also contemporary music concerts, lectures and readings on offer as well.
