Discover art of the 20th and 21st centuries at the Museo d’Arte Lugano, set in the historic Villa Malpensata on the shores of Lake Lugano.
The museum regularly stages significant exhibitions on various aspects of art of the 20th century, with the emphasis on Expressionism. The Museo d’Arte is currently showing a retrospective of the great Italian painter Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964) and an exhibition of the English sculptor Tony Cragg (b. 1949), whose monumental sculptures make a visit to the villa’s garden even more appealing.
