The Zurich Marathon takes place on 9 April 2017. Regardless of which distance you decide to run, you will have the great feeling of being part of it. You too can experience the unique city along with a host of running enthusiasts.
Zurich is one of the most liveable cities in the world. The city is therefore also a place for gourmets. Above all, Zurich is a fast-paced city, for 70% of all runners improve on their personal best time here! A fantastic backdrop with an old town, lake and electrifying atmosphere accompany you on a perfect run.
All participants benefit from a free journey on public transport in 2nd class from their place of residence to the event venue and back. You can read in the “Tickets” tab how to obtain a free Swiss Runners Ticket.

From 8.30 a.m. at Zurich Mythenquai
With tram no 7 towards Zurich, Wollishofen or with the S8 S-Bahn towards Pfäffikon SZ, and the S24 towards Zug to Enge station or the Brunau (clothing depot) stop. The last tram no. 7 to get you to the start on time runs at 7.36 a.m. from Zurich main station.
A shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes from 7.05 a.m. from Albisgüetli (car parks) via Saalsporthalle (issue of starting numbers and cloakroom) to the cloakroom at the Mythenquai bathing facility and the clothing depot (Sukkulentensammlung stop). The last bus leaves Albisgüetli at 8.50 a.m.
From the finish line a shuttle bus runs from the finish site (Sukkulentensammlung stop) between 10.40 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. every 20 minutes via Enge station / Bederstrasse to Saalsporthalle and to Albisgüetli.

The free Swiss Runners Ticket for participants.
All participants benefit from a free journey on public transport in 2nd class from their place of residence to the event venue and back (in the GA travelcard area via the usual route). After successful registration you will receive correspondence by e-mail that includes two personal promotional codes. You can use these promotional codes to print out two free PT tickets for the outward and return journey in 2nd class at sbb.ch/purchase.
The outward journey can be made between 7 and 9 April 2017 and the return journey between 9 and 11 April 2017.
Important: the Swiss Runners Ticket is personal and is only valid in conjunction with the starting number. Please have these ready to show on the train.
Tickets for spectators.
To visit the Zurich Marathon, you require a ticket for the journey with public transport to Zurich and back.
Tip: buy a 1-day travelpass or a 9 o’clock travelpass (only valid Monday to Friday), allowing you to use public transport for one day and enjoy unlimited travel as with the GA travelcard.
