The building can be found at the southern end of the overhead walkway. Its position at the most important regional, national and international transport hub in Northwestern Switzerland means the SüdPark is destined to become the ideal place to work, shop or live in Basel.
The developments on plots B and D are part of the urban restructuring of Basel, the perfect example of how a city can plan its path into the future. They are part of the "EuroVille" master plan which is targeting a sustainable upgrade of the area around Basel SBB station.
Retirement homes managed by the Atlas Stiftung (Atlas Foundation)
The Südpark retirement home will comprise one building constructed to a high level of quality. SBB Real Estate is to be responsible for basic development work, while the Atlas Stiftung will design the interior. In other words, everything inside – which will give the Südpark retirement home its character – will have been created by the Atlas Stiftung.
