This is how it works.

  1. Fill out the medium-term notes application form.
  2. GE Money Bank sends you a voucher for free customer identification with SBB, along with the account opening documents.
  3. Have your identity confirmed in person at SBB Change by means of a valid official photo ID document (Swiss ID, Swiss passport, Swiss driver's licence (Swiss citizens only) or residence permits B or C) and the voucher.
  4. Once you have signed and returned the account opening documents, and made a deposit using the paying-in slip you have been sent, you will start saving securely and at a very attractive rate of interest.

Deposit protection.

Do you have deposit protection with GE Money Bank's medium-term notes? Yes – like every bank and securities trader in Switzerland, GE Money Bank is required to sign the agreement of Swiss Banks and Securities Traders on Deposit Protection. Customer deposits are thus protected up to a maximum of CHF 100,000 per customer. Deposit protection is explained in detail on the homepage.
