For the high speed TGV train to Paris and the south of France, you will require a so-called global price ticket, which includes the price for the journey, obligatory seat reservation and any supplements.
You can purchase the global price ticket from any Swiss point of departure for the appropriate TGV route. This global price ticket is only valid for the train and the day for which it was issued. Global price tickets are available in various categories and are sold at the market price, i.e. the prices are higher or lower depending on the day of departure and the train. It is therefore worth booking early.
Purchase your TGV ticket online for places on the TGV Lyria routes to Paris and print them out yourself.
You can book TGV tickets to the south of France or for other connections online, and they will then be sent to you by post within 3 days.
Standard fare
Provided seats are available, you can purchase tickets for 1st and 2nd class at the standard price (Flexitarif) up to just before departure for journeys to Paris and the south of France.
Conditions.
- Advance purchase from 90 days up to just before departure, depending on availability.
Reductions.
- Children aged 4 to 12 years receive a discount.
- Senior citizens from 60 years/young people up to 26 years receive discounts. However, tickets are on offer in limited quantities.
- Reduced group tariffs may apply from 10 passengers travelling together. Please book early.
