Are you looking for an original gift idea? Give your loved ones a nice surprise with an e-voucher from SBB!
With e-vouchers, you can purchase all offers from the SBB Ticket Shop and from SBB Mobile. Whether this is a simple ticket or a half-fare card, a day ticket or a general season ticket: You can pay for all these things and much more completely or partially with an e-voucher.
You can obtain e-vouchers of the value you select on line in SBB Ticket Shop or with the Smartphone via SBB Mobile. You can have your personal greeting text added to every e-voucher. After the purchase, you will receive an electronic document per Email (PDF file), which you can now pass on to the person receiving your gift.
Buy and redeem online
Purchase of e-vouchers online.
You can purchase e-vouchers in the SBB Ticket Shop and pay with your credit card or PostFinance Card.
2. Select number of vouchers and amount.
On the following pages, enter the required number of vouchers and the desired amount for the e-voucher(s) as well as your personal data and payment information.
3. Confirmation of purchase and delivery of e-voucher.
As soon as the purchase has been confirmed, you will receive an Email with an attached PDF file which contains your personal e-voucher.
Redemption of e-vouchers online.
1. Redeem e-voucher.
Go into the SBB Ticket Shop, and select your offer. Enter the required data until you see the input field «e-voucher» in the shopping cart. Now enter your e-voucher-code from the PDF file you received in an email (see above). Click «Redeem».
2. Benefit.
On the next page you will see the summary with the offer price and the value of the redeemed voucher. Conclude your purchase transaction as usual.
Buy and redeem via SBB Mobile
Purchase of e-vouchers with the Smartphone.
You can purchase and redeem e-vouchers via SBB Mobile, the free App for Smartphones.
Note: At the moment, e-vouchers cannot be purchased and redeemed with SBB Mobile for Windows Mobile 7.
1. Select e-voucher.
To purchase an e-voucher, go into SBB Mobile to the «Ticket» section and select «Purchase e-voucher».
2. Select number of vouchers and amount.
Enter the number of E-Vouchers you require as well as their value (per voucher). You can also enter a greeting text (free text).
Conclude the purchasing transaction as usual.
3. Confirmation of purchase and delivery of e-voucher.
As soon as the purchase has been confirmed, you will receive an Email with an attached PDF file which contains your personal e-voucher.
Redeeming e-vouchers with Smartphone.
1. Choose offer and select e-voucher.
Select one of the offers from the «Ticket» section, and follow the different steps until you see the link «Redeem e-voucher» displayed in the shopping cart. Follow this link.
2. Enter e-voucher code.
Enter the code of your e-voucher in the screen and then press «Next».
3. Benefit.
On the next page you will see the summary with the offer price and the value of the redeemed voucher. Conclude your purchase transaction as usual.
General information
- E-vouchers can only be redeemed online or via Smartphone (with the exception of smartphones with Windows Mobile 7 operating system).
- The SBB e-vouchers are not person-bound and are therefore freely transferable.
- The e-vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- The credit is valid for five years from the date of purchase.
- Several e-vouchers can be redeemed in the shopping cart.
- Any residual credit will be displayed in the shopping cart. You will also receive an email containing a link to a new e-voucher that exhibits the residual value.
