The Half-Fare travelcard is valid on all SBB routes, and those of most private rail operators throughout Switzerland. You may also travel half-price with many of the mountain railways. The Half-Fare travelcard is also valid on postbuses and on many shipping lines. In most cities and urban areas the Half-Fare travelcard entitles you to reduced fares on local transit services such as trams and buses.
In many cases, your Half-Fare travelcard also qualifies you for discounts on RailAway leisure travel offers.
Over short distances the discount with a Half-Fare travelcard may be less than 50% due to the minimum fare. This also applies to reduced offers or combined offers that include rail travel and additional services.
