There are discounted GA travelcards for children (not married) and their parents available for an annual or monthly fee. Please bear in mind that you will need to provide a number of supporting documents when purchasing your GA travelcards.

GA travelcard for children.
This is the ideal GA travelcard for children up to 15 years of age, travelling independently and whose parents do not have a GA.
Familia GA travelcard for children and Familia GA travelcard for young adults.
Children and young people up to 25 years of age (not married) can obtain discounts on a GA travelcard if a parent living in the same household has a basic GA travelcard. In the absence of one of the two parents, a person living permanently in the same household and performing parental duties may be equated with this absent parent. A basic GA travelcard can be a GA travelcard for adults, a GA for young adults, a GA for students aged 25-30, a GA for senior citizens or a GA for the disabled.
Familia GA travelcard for spouses.
The second parent is entitled to a discounted GA travelcard if, in addition to the above-mentioned basic GA (father or mother), another family member also holds at least a Familia GA travelcard for children or young people. In the absence of one of the two parents, a person living permanently in the same household and performing parental duties may be equated with this absent parent. However, this does not apply to siblings. A basic GA travelcard can be a GA travelcard for adults, a GA for young adults, a GA for students aged 25-30, a GA for senior citizens or a GA for the disabled.

If you've bought a 1st-class Basic GA travelcard, you can buy GA Familia add-ons for either 1st or 2nd class. If you have a 2nd-class Basic GA travelcard, you can buy GA Familia add-ons for 2nd-class travel only.
Children and young adults aged up to 15 years of age with a 2nd-class GA Familia travelcard for children or young adults are not required to pay for a 1st-class upgrade if they are accompanied by a parent with a 1st-class GA travelcard.
