We offer a range of additional services relating to the GA travelcard. If you don't need it for a while, you can deposit it at a ticket counter. If you lose your GA travelcard, or have left it somewhere – all is not lost.

If you don't need your GA travelcard for at least seven consecutive days, you can deposit it at a ticket counter for a maximum total of 30 days during its period of validity. We charge a fee of CHF 10 for each deposit period. We will issue you with an SBB receipt as a temporary replacement for your GA travelcard valid up to three days prior to the official date of deposit and three days after the official date of retrieval. You cannot deposit the Familia GA travelcard for children and young adults, the transferable GA or the GA for dogs.

Please note that for cross-border offers originating in Switzerland you must show your original plastic card or your provisional travel card in order to obtain your GA reduction.

If your travelcard is lost or damaged, simply present valid proof of your identity at the nearest ticket office and we will replace it for a fee of CHF 30. You cannot deposit the replacement GA travelcard, and we are unable to make a refund for early termination.

If you have left your travelcard at your home or office, any station can issue a temporary 1-day travelcard against proof of identity and a fee of CHF 5.

You may cancel your GA travelcard 4 months after its first day of validity. To cancel, please send your original travelcard and any replacement travelcards by registered mail to: SBB Contact Center, GA-Service-Center, P.O. Box, 3900 Brig.
The cancellation will be effective from of the date of the postmark on the registered letter.

If you no longer require your annual GA travelcard, you can return it. There is a charge of 23 percent of the purchase price for the first month of validity and seven percent for any additional month.
