SBB Businesstravel is SBB's corporate customer portal. As well as providing a lot of useful information about corporate mobility, it allows you to print out tickets at your desk (in the SBB Ticket Shop Business) and maintain an overview of travel activity in your company (in SBB Businessmanager).
Register for SBB Businesstravel
Not all types of ticket can be printed at your desk. At present you can obtain the following ticket types as OnlineTickets:
Standard tickets for journeys within Switzerland (incl. regional travel system tickets)
Various one-day travelpasses (9 o'clock travelpass, one-day travelpass for children, one-day travelpass for dogs)
Seat reservations for certain trains within Switzerland
Some international tickets
The product range offered by SBB Ticket Shop is constantly being expanded.
When ordering from SBB Ticket Shop Business you can choose from the following methods of obtaining your tickets:
Print at home
Collect at the station
Delivery by post
Important: The system cannot calculate some routes that include sections using certain regional transport systems, private railways or bus operators, and so OnlineTickets are currently unavailable for these routes. In such cases you can either purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or call the Businesstravel Service Center on 0848 111 456 (from within Switzerland).
Since OnlineTickets are usually valid on a specified day only, you cannot purchase the following tickets as OnlineTickets:
Multipacks of 1-day travelpasses and multipacks of 9 o’clock travelpasses (both valid in conjunction with Half-Fare travelcard)
Multi-trip class upgrades for GA travelcard holders or for 1-day travelpasses and multipacks of 9 o’clock class upgrades

Tickets regional travel systems
Yes, in the SBB Ticket Shop Business you can reserve seats online for up to five passengers travelling within Switzerland if the train is marked with the letter R on the timetable. The OnlineTicket must be registered in the name of a person who is travelling.

For international journeys, seats can be reserved when you purchase tickets at SBB Ticket Shop Business. You can also specify seat requests, such as single seats, window seats, table, aisle etc., during step 4 of the "Reservations" purchasing process. If the desired seat is not allocated to you (e.g. you are allocated a window seat instead of an aisle seat), then the desired seat category is no longer available.
Purchase tickets for Germany and Austria at SBB Ticket Shop Business individually without seat reservations (when ordering individually, proceed to the last step of the purchasing process and then click "Continue shopping". After entering the details for the last ticket, click on "Checkout" to conclude the purchase). Then call the Businesstravel Service Center on 0848 111 456 (from within Switzerland) to add the seats to one of the existing orders (reservations can be sent by post or collected from the ticket counter).
For all other countries, please go to SBB Ticket Shop Business and place your order at "Tickets for Europe" under "Order tickets manually". To place the order, please always select the manual option (not the timetable). The Businesstravel Service Center will be happy to help if you have any further questions (tel. 0848 111 456 from within Switzerland).

Tickets are only valid on one calendar day per leg of the journey. You must specify your travel dates when you purchase your ticket. Subsequent changes or exchanges are not possible. OnlineTickets issued by fare networks may have a different period of validity (e.g. 2 hours, 24 hours etc.).
For foreign visitors, it's best to choose a ticket from the Swiss Travel System range. The selection tool will show you which tickets are suitable for which situations.
1-day travelpasses can only be purchased by holders of a Half-Fare travelcard. It is not possible to buy two 1-day travelpasses and travel without a Half-Fare travelcard.
Groups of at least two people can get a discount of 15% per person on the Swiss Pass and Swiss Flexi Pass.

No, at the moment you cannot buy any travelcards on the SwissPass in the SBB Ticket Shop Business. The SwissPass will be introduced in stages and will initially only be available to private customers. Answers to frequently asked questions about the SwissPass for private customers are available at sbb.ch/en/swisspass.
It is expected that the SwissPass will be made available to business customers in late 2017. Additional information about the SwissPass for business customers is available here: sbb.ch/en/swisspass-business.
Access and registration.
If your company is not yet registered for SBB Businesstravel, please register. If your company is already registered for SBB Businesstravel, your own personal access is just three steps away:
Ask your company's in-house travel coordinator for the SBB contract number and for the correct cost centre for your company.
Use the contract number and cost centre to register as a user at SBB Ticket Shop Business.
When your company's travel coordinator has activated your profile, you can use SBB Ticket Shop Business.
Register for SBB Businesstravel
Ask for your user name or password to be sent to you again. For this you will need the e-mail address that you used when you registered.
A valid e-mail address to which we can send confirmation
A printer (inkjet or laser)
Your contract number from SBB Businesstravel. You can obtain this number from your company's travel coordinator.
When you have registered for SBB Ticket Shop Business (see Access and registration), you will be given access to SBB Ticket Shop Business. Once you have entered your user name, password and company contract number you are logged in and able to purchase OnlineTickets.
You can book your ticket online and print it out at your desk until just a few minutes before your train departs. For a stress-free journey, we recommend booking the desired OnlineTicket no later than one hour before your train departs. Please note that not all international tickets are available as OnlineTickets. We therefore recommend that you book international tickets at SBB Ticket Shop Business no later than three working days before your departure.
The advance purchase period of a maximum of 30 days gives a better guarantee that you will definitely be able to make your journey and not have to postpone it. OnlineTickets are only refundable in specific exceptional cases.
Tickets that you have bought in the SBB Ticket Shop Business can be obtained as follows:
Tickets with the “Print at the workplace” option: print them out yourself or display them via the SBB Mobile Business app.
Tickets on security paper: have them sent by post or collect them from a staffed station.
Tickets for specific routes can be forwarded as an MMS ticket.
Yes. Enter the passenger's first name and last name in the relevant input fields.
Forwarding tickets: You can only forward tickets to others provisionally as MMS tickets. If a central office in your company buys all tickets, the following options are available:
The person responsible buys the tickets via the account of the passenger in the SBB Ticket Shop Business. To do this they require the access data for the passenger: user name, password and contract number. The passenger calls up the ticket via their account in the SBB Mobile Business app and shows it on the train.
The person responsible buys the ticket online in the SBB Ticket Shop Business via their own account and forwards the OnlineTicket as a PDF to the passenger. They print out the ticket.
The person responsible buys an MMS ticket that they forward to a mobile phone number. MMS tickets are available for selected routes. It is free to send MMS tickets on a mobile phone registered in Switzerland (within a Swiss mobile phone network).
This can be ordered using "Purchase ticket". First, book the outward journey as far as the last screen and click on "Continue shopping" (NOT "Checkout"). Add the return journey. Seat reservations will remain reserved for 20 minutes during the booking process. When all the desired journeys have been booked, click on "Checkout" and complete the purchase.
Standard fare tickets.
Exchangeable-ticket fares, e.g. Lyria Flex on TGV services.
To begin, purchase your entire trip with the “1st class GA travelcard 1 year / GA travelcard by subscription” discount (in step 2, “Passengers”), even if you have a 2nd class GA. Before completing your purchase with "Checkout", click the "Continue shopping" button on the left.
You can then purchase the route-specific class upgrade with GA discount for the journey within Switzerland to/from the border station ("Tickets Switzerland"/"Class upgrade"/"Class upgrade route-specific").

TGV, EC trains to Italy: If you are travelling within Switzerland to/from the station where you join the TGV/Italy EC train, you will require a route-specific class upgrade ("Tickets for Switzerland"/"Class upgrade"/"Route-specific class upgrade").

Swiss Travel System tickets are only available for travellers resident outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Moreover, they can only be used by the person to whom they are issued and cannot be transferred. They are only valid together with the passport or ID card whose number was entered when the ticket was purchased.
You can order the tickets online and enter the address of your visitors as the delivery address. Postage charges are shown on screen during the order process.

If you cannot register a ID- or passport number in the SBB Ticket Shop Business please fill out the form. Within one working day you will receive a customer number via e-mail with which you can order your personal season-ticket online.
ID number registration form
The contract between your company and SBB specifies the means of payment. The corresponding means of payment is laid down in your contract and is charged automatically when OnlineTickets are ordered.
For OnlineTickets, the ticket counts as the expenses receipt. No separate expense receipts are issued. Your company's travel manager or account manager receives a statement listing all orders every 14 days.
You can print out an expenses receipt for MobileTickets. After logging in to SBB Ticket Shop Business select "My account" and then "My orders". All your purchased tickets are here, including MobileTickets. Select the desired MobileTicket and click on the "Expenses receipt” link.
From 1 January 2013, VAT invoices for services purchased through SBB Businesstravel (online and mobile) will no longer be sent by post. Instead, you can easily access these electronically in SBB Businessmanager.
The travel manager or invoice centre manager receives a notification in the Businessmanager task list as soon as the receipts are ready. The following quick guide shows you how easy it will be to view VAT receipts in the future:
Log on to SBB Businessmanager.
Select "VAT" in the left-hand navigation.
Available invoices will be shown by cost centre.
OnlineTickets also count as VAT receipts. They can be downloaded as follows:
Log into SBB Ticket Shop Business.
Your tickets are listed under "My orders".
Click on "Select" to view the details of individual orders.
Click on PDF to download the receipt.
Download and print.
Try downloading your ticket using one of the following three alternatives:You will receive an e-mail confirmation for each order. This contains the link to your OnlineTicket. You will also find the purchased tickets and download link at SBB Ticket Shop Business under “My orders”. Or you can call up your ticket via the SBB Mobile Business app (“Tickets” “Show tickets” “Update tickets”).
Once you have purchased your OnlineTicket, follow the link provided to download it. In order to view and print your OnlineTicket, you must have Acrobat Reader version 5 or later installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader is available to download free of charge. You can then print it out using the Print function of your PDF reader. (Please do not use the Print function in your browser.)
Once you have logged on to SBB Ticket Shop Business, you will find "My orders" under "My account". Select your desired OnlineTicket. You can open it and print it again at any time.
An OnlineTicket can also be printed out by SBB employees at staffed stations for a fee of 5 francs.
Tickets are valid only if printed in portrait format and 100% size on white A4 paper using an inkjet or laser printer. (Please do not print in draft/economy mode.) OnlineTickets printed on a fax or other machine will not be accepted as valid. Smudged or incomplete printouts are not valid. If you travel with a ticket that has not been printed out correctly you will be deemed to be travelling without a valid ticket and will have to pay a supplement. Before you print an OnlineTicket, you can use the Test ticket function to check whether your printer can print OnlineTickets correctly. Fix any problems with your printer and then try printing the ticket again.
Print the OnlineTicket using the Print function of the PDF reader.
In order to view and print your OnlineTicket, you must have a PDF reader installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader (version 5 or later) is available to download free of charge . Please make sure you click on the “Print” icon in your PDF reader and not in your internet browser. If you can view your OnlineTicket but are still unable to print it out, there may be a problem with your printer or printer settings. Ensure that the printer is correctly connected and installed. You can also save the OnlineTicket to a data storage device (e.g. a USB stick) and try printing it out on another printer.
You can also have OnlineTickets sent to your mobile via MMS. MMS tickets are obtainable for selected routes. Or you can call up your ticket via the SBB Mobile Business app (“Tickets” “Show tickets” “Update tickets”).
If you can neither print out a ticket nor display it on SBB Mobile Business, you can collect it at a staffed station for a fee of 5 francs.
No. A black and white printout is sufficient.
Validity and refunds.
OnlineTickets may only be used in conjunction with a valid official identity document (passport or ID card) bearing the passenger's name. Half-Fare and GA travelcard holders can show their travelcard as proof of identity.
An OnlineTicket is valid on the calendar day specified for each leg of the journey at the time of purchase. Subsequent changes or exchanges are not usually possible. A return journey within 10 days can be selected only for distances over 116 km. For shorter distances, the outward and return journeys must be booked separately if they do not take place on the same day.

As a rule, OnlineTickets cannot be purchased more than 30 days in advance.
The return leg of the journey must take place no later than 10 days after the outward leg. Otherwise please purchase separate tickets for the outward and return journeys.
No. OnlineTickets are personal and non-transferable. When tickets are checked a personal ID (passport, identity card) must therefore be presented. Half-Fare and GA travelcard holders can show their travelcard as proof of identity.
No. The transport companies cannot guarantee that OnlineTickets can be checked accurately on all electronic devices (e.g. laptops). You must therefore present your OnlineTicket as an A4 printout. Or you can call up the ticket via the SBB Mobile Business app (“Tickets” “Show tickets” “Update tickets”). A precondition is that you have purchased the OnlineTicket in the SBB Ticket Shop Business on your own account.
Yes, provided the ticket is available with the “Print at the workplace” option and you have purchased the OnlineTicket in the SBB Ticket Shop Business on your own account. You can call up the ticket via the SBB Mobile Business app as follows: “Tickets” “Show tickets” “Update tickets”.
You can also have your OnlineTicket sent to your mobile via MMS.
If you cannot present your OnlineTicket to the ticket inspector, call up your ticket via the SBB Mobile Business app (“Tickets” “Show tickets” “Update tickets”). A precondition is that you have purchased the OnlineTicket in the SBB Ticket Shop Business on your own account. Or you have the option of having your OnlineTicket printed out at the station for a fee of CHF 5.
If this is not possible, we advise you to buy another ticket before the train departs, either at a ticket machine, a ticket counter or using your smartphone via SBB Mobile Business. Return the unused OnlineTicket to your company’s travel manager.
Under no circumstances can the confirmation e-mail be used as a replacement for an OnlineTicket. Confirmation e-mails are intended for your use only and are solely designed to give information about a successful purchase.
Germany and Austria OnlineTickets (normal price) that you have printed out yourself are valid for 2 days in each direction. However, tickets printed on security paper by SBB staff are valid for 15 days. If you would like your tickets printed on security paper, you can place an order at SBB Ticket Shop Business. At the end of the purchase process you can select how the ticket is issued. Tickets sent by post or collected from a ticket counter are printed on security paper.
Please note: Supersaver tickets are valid for travel only at the time stated (specific train).
France Your TGV ticket is valid on the specified train only.
Italy Your ticket is only valid for the specified train.
