Frequently asked questions about the SwissPass for business customers.
The SwissPass is the new card designed to hold GA and Half-Fare benefits and is your key to mobility. Equipped with modern technology (radio frequency identification chip), the SwissPass also gives you access to partner services such as Mobility Carsharing, PubliBike, SwitzerlandMobility, Ticketcorner, Europcar and Hotelcard as well as ski resorts and Snow’n’Rail offers.
The SwissPass login is your personal key to access public transport offers. This can be used for both private and business purposes. If you already have a SwissPass login as a private customer, please use this for business purposes too. You can also use your SwissPass login to access your business features and data from the former SBB Ticketshop Business. As before, business tickets will be sent directly to your company e-mail address automatically. In future, you will be able to choose whether you want to buy and pay for the ticket as a private or business customer before completing your purchase.
Any purchases you make using your SwissPass login will automatically be referenced on the SwissPass. This means that you don’t need to show a ticket separately.
At SwissPass.ch, you will also receive an overview of your SwissPass services (private and business) and have the chance to amend your personal details and activate various partner services.
The GA Travelcard and Half-Fare Travelcard are issued for business customers on the SwissPass.
Yes. If you already have a private travelcard/Half Fare Travelcard, take it to the nearest ticket counter. SBB will reimburse you for the existing travelcard pro rata.
If you have an old (blue) GA Travelcard or Half-Fare Travelcard, you can switch to the SwissPass at any time. First of all, you need to buy a travelcard on your SwissPass and, as soon as you have received your new plastic card, you can be refunded based on the time left on your old travelcard. However, please check with your employer that this is the right option for your company before you do this.
If you do not already have a SwissPass, one will automatically be created and sent to you by post the next time you order a GA Travelcard or Half-Fare Travelcard.
You can even obtain the SwissPass for free without a travelcard at a staffed sales point. You can then start benefitting straight away from partner services such as Mobility Carsharing, PubliBike, SwitzerlandMobility and many more.
If you already have a SwissPass, the service will be activated on your card within a few minutes of you purchasing it.
The contracting party for services financed by your company is your employer. That is why SBB also informs your employer directly about the services they have paid for and about business offers. However, your employer only has access to information on the services financed by them. It does not have access to your private data.
The introduction of the SwissPass will also affect the process of ordering all GA Plus Travelcards if the basic GA Travelcard was purchased via the SBB Businesstravel online portal. Find out how you can order a GA Plus Familia for children, a GA Plus Familia for young adults, a GA Plus Familia for partners or a GA Plus Duo Partner in this case at sbb.ch/en/business-gaplus.
