General information on the new sales system.
The SBB sales systems have come to the end of their life cycle and must be replaced. Sales at the counter as well as via online and mobile channels are affected by this.
The existing tools will continue to be available to you in a similar form:
SBB Ticket Shop at sbb.ch/business: purchase of tickets.
SBB Mobile Business: will now be integrated into the SBB Mobile app. The existing features of SBB Mobile Business will be available as well as new applications.
SBB Businessmanager: administration and reporting features.
Changes from the old to the new sales system.
Up to the introduction of the new sales systems, nothing will change for SBB Businesstravel customers.
Up to now the sales systems (SBB Ticket Shop and SBB Mobile app) for private and business customers have been managed separately. In the next few months we are combining these systems and integrating the business customer features. As a corporate customer the same products will therefore be available to you as for private customers in the future.
The purchasing authorisation for business customers will henceforth be integrated into the SwissPass login. You and your employees will therefore have to create new login details: If you do not yet have a SwissPass login, you will have to create one. If you already have a SwissPass login, you can link this to your company account from Spring 2018. We will contact you by e-mail in Spring 2018 to show you the procedure.
Provided you are authorised by the company, you can select whether you buy the tickets or travelcards required for private or business purposes when purchasing.
To be able to benefit from the numerous corporate customer features and new offers, we will provisionally be operating the old and new SBB Ticket Shop in parallel. We recommend that you always log in to the new SBB Ticket Shop Business using the SwissPass login. Depending on the products required you will automatically be directed to the old Ticket Shop, where you log in with your existing access details. The billing details are available separately for each sales system and you will receive separate invoices.
The SBB Mobile Business app features are integrated into the general SBB Mobile app. The existing SBB Mobile Business app will be deactivated a few months after the introduction.
Settings such as the billing addresses, assignments of costs and authorised employees will be transferred to the new sales system. For security reasons you must re-enter your credit card details.
As the contract administrator you must accept the new GTCs once for each contract.
During parallel operation the billing, VAT documents and statistics will be set up separately for the old and new sales systems. The details of the old sales system are filed in the old SBB Businessmanager, and the details of the new sales system in the new one. You will still require your old login for this.
You benefit from many improvements in SBB Businessmanager.
So that you can benefit from the numerous business customer features and new offers, we are operating the old and new SBB Ticket Shop in parallel for the time being.
New SBB Ticket Shop (SwissPass login).
Single and supersaver tickets, Day Passes for journeys in Switzerland (including fare networks)
City-Tickets, class upgrades, night supplements, etc.
Old SBB Ticket Shop Business (old login).
International tickets, multiple-journey tickets and Day Pass Multipacks
Regional travelcards that are on the SwissPass
Half-Fare travelcard, GA travelcard (up to introduction of the SwissPass for business customers)
We recommend always logging into the new SBB Ticket Shop with the SwissPass login. Depending on the products required, you will automatically be directed to the old Ticket Shop, where you log in with your existing access details.
Until further notice the range cannot be restricted in the new SBB Ticket Shop. This means that every user can buy all offers.
Yes, the discount model remains the same as before. Saver Day Passes and supersaver tickets for Switzerland are now also available for Switzerland via SBB Businesstravel. As these are already cheaper than standard tickets they are not discounted.
Your invoice address and details as well as lodge card details are transferred. You must re-enter personal credit card details for security reasons.
With the change, every user automatically receives the existing authorisations for the new sales system. You must re-enter credit card details for security reasons. Lodge card details are transferred to the new sales system.
New login (SwissPass login).
The SwissPass login applies for purchasing tickets on SBB.ch from the introduction of the new sales system. Up to now there have been several logins for the SBB website. With the introduction of the SwissPass login we are limiting this to a single login for private and business purchases in the future. If your employees already have a SwissPass login, the change to SBB Businesstravel will be even faster.
We recommend basing the SwissPass login on your private e-mail address. In your user account at sbb.ch/business you can also store your business details and change them at any time. Tickets for business purposes are therefore sent directly to your company e-mail address as before. After introduction of the SwissPass for corporate customers you will be able to link your services on the SwissPass with your account and can therefore make purchases even more quickly.
Please use your actual details and no made-up names for your SwissPass login, so that you can link your travelcards with your SwissPass account in the future. Your details such as first name, surname and date of birth will also be accepted automatically for the tickets.
SwissPass login: using a private e-mail address and a personal password, you receive direct access to various public transport services.
SwissPass account: all personal details including residential address, private telephone number, etc. are stored here.
SwissPass service: the private Half-Fare travelcard, a regional travelcard or GA travelcard are displayed here, in the same way as a ski pass, Mobility access, etc.
The employer has no access to private details. The business data are stored in the user account at sbb.ch/business. You can change them there at any time.
No, for a SwissPass login you do not need a SwissPass or a SwissPass service. You will be asked to create a SwissPass login and visit the change page for business customers sbb.ch/newlogin (from Autumn 2018) at the relevant time.
What has to be done?
Prior to introduction:
If you have cost centres and assignments of costs that you no longer require, please delete these in SBB Businessmanager. Should you have any questions please contact the Businesstravel Service Center.
Please check in SBB Businessmanager whether the list of employees with purchase authorisation is still up to date.
After the introduction:
Visit the change page sbb.ch/newlogin (from Autumn 2018) and follow the instructions. You use your private SwissPass login. If you do not yet have a SwissPass login, please create one.
As the contract administrator you accept the GTCs for your contract. The GTCs are to be found at sbb.ch/relaunch. Only after this will you and your employees be able to use the new sales system.

Please let the employees authorised to purchase know that a new sales system is being introduced for SBB Businesstravel. The fact sheet on the page sbb.ch/relaunch will help you with communicating this. After you have accepted the GTCs, active users of your contract receive a link to the change from SBB.
