We offer a range of additional services relating to the GA Travelcard. If you lose your GA Travelcard, or have left it somewhere – all is not lost.
Replacing your GA Travelcard on the SwissPass.
If your travelcard is lost or damaged, simply present valid proof of your identity at the nearest ticket office and you will receive a new card for a fee of CHF 30. Please bring official ID with you to the counter and you will receive a temporary SwissPass to use until your new SwissPass arrives. We will post your new card to you a few days later.
You’ve forgotten your GA Travelcard on the SwissPass.
If you have left your travelcard at your home or office, we can issue you with a temporary card that is valid for two days for a fee of CHF 5.00 at any ticket counter, on presentation of official proof of identity.
Deposits GA travelcards
GA Travelcards (on the SwissPass) cannot be deposited if purchased through SBB Businesstravel.
Business customers benefit from the sales-discount model when they purchase GA Travelcards. As such, GA Travelcards which were purchased through SBB Businesstravel cannot be deposited.
Duration of the contract.
Automatic renewal.
When purchasing a GA Travelcard, you conclude a contract for an indefinite period. This has the advantage that your subscription is automatically extended after the expiry of the one-year validity period. The SwissPass saves you having to think about renewing your travelcard. Your SwissPass card is valid for several years and your travelcard remains activated on the same card.
Minimum contract duration.
All GA Travelcards have a minimum contract duration of 4 months. You can then decide to have your subscription renewed automatically or to terminate it at the end of a subscription month while respecting the cancellation period.
Cancellation.
Cancellation reminders.
We will remind the ordering party and the invoicing centre manager in good time of the possible termination period before the automatic renewal of the subscription.
Cancellation at the end of the subscription period.
The cancellation period is set at a maximum of one month from the expiry date of the subscription. This gives you enough time to ask your cost centre manager or contract manager to cancel the GA Travelcard. Cancellation can be done at any time in the Travelcard Manager by the contract or cost center manager.
Cancellation currently valid.
The subscription can be cancelled during its period of validity after the minimum contractual period of 4 months by using the refund form (link). You can cancel your GA Travelcard at any time by the end of the next month.
The subscription holder will receive a confirmation of cancellation and a notification on the last day of the subscription’s validity.
Purchase and payment methods.
You can buy your GA Travelcard conveniently online and pay for it with the payment methods provided by your company.
Delivery of the SwissPass.
If the subscription holder does not yet have a SwissPass card, it will be delivered by post to their home address within approximately 10 days. If the time between the order date and the start of the subscription is less than 10 days, a temporary subscription can be downloaded with the purchase receipt.
If the subscription holder already has a SwissPass card, the subscription will be charged to it.
