Store payment method – in the app and on SBB.ch.

Would you like to store, amend or delete a payment method in the app or on SBB.ch? Here you can find out how easy it is to do.

Payment methods in the SBB Mobile app.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open the SBB Mobile app.
  2. Sign in with your SwissPass login.
  3. Open the menu (three bars in the top left).
  4. Click on ‘Settings’ and select ‘Payment method’.
  5. Delete the stored payment method or add another one.
  6. Important: even if you only want to change the expiry date of a payment method, you need to delete the payment method and add it again.

Your payment method is amended centrally in your profile. Changes made on SBB.ch will therefore also be shown in the app.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to SBB.ch and click on ‘Sign in’ (top right).
  2. Sign in with your SwissPass login.
  3. Click on your initials in the circle and then on ‘Profile’.
  4. Click on ‘Update payment method’ to see an overview of your payment methods.
  5. Now you can delete the stored payment method or add a new one.
  6. Important: even if you only want to change the expiry date of a payment method, you need to delete the payment method and add it again.

    Authorization Error

    Hello. I registered my master card as a payment method in the sbb app and in "sbb.ch" but got a DTR1403 error. My credit card company confirmed that the authentication was completed normally. I want to register my MasterCard. please tell me how. Thank you.

    EasyRide: insufficient funds in payment method

    Hello,After several rides during a day I realised, that the total amount is higher than available amount in selected payment method, it was Reka Check. Then I haven't received the email with invoice as usual. What will happen next? Shall I expect a negative amount in my Reka Check account, or EasyRide will send me an open invoice for this ride?Thanks!

    Error code ER 9082

    I used the easy ride feature once, and then for whatever reason it has not worked since, and repeatedly gives me the error attached. I have tried removing and re-registering my card, but I cannot get the error to go away, and it's blocking me from using the easy ride feature. Oops, you last journey could not be charged. Your last journey could not be charged to the selected payment method. Without a valid charge, EasyRide cannot be activated. Please check the stored payment details are up to date or use the usual ticketing process in the app.
