You can park at any of over 500 P+Rail stations. 

We offer tickets for hourly parking, P+Rail Day Passes and P+Rail one-month and one-year permits. Purchasing options vary depending on the offer and the location.

No, there is no guarantee that a free parking space will be available, even if you have a one-month or one-year permit or purchased the parking ticket in advance.

P+Rail one-month or one-year permits can only be purchased if you hold a GA Travelcard or a monthly or annual public transport travelcard valid at the station in question (Point-to-Point Travelcard, Regional Travelcard, Modular Travelcard).

Depending on how busy the facility is, a minimum price or minimum distance can also be defined for this.

In order to avoid exceeding capacity, there may be waiting lists or other restrictions for P+Rail facilities with high demand (for example, a quota system, stopping sales during construction work, etc.). Please contact us promptly regarding the availability of one-month or one-year permits for your desired station. Likewise, the same applies if you would like to renew your permit. 

One-month and one-year permits can be purchased up to two months in advance of the first day of validity. This is advantageous, especially for P+Rail facilities with high demand.

You can enter two different registration numbers on the one-month or one-year permit – for example, for your second car. There are no additional costs for including a second registration number when you purchase your one-month or one-year permit. If you register at a later date, you will be charged a fee of CHF 30.

The P+Rail app works with the SwissPass login. If you already have one, for example, for SBB Mobile or SBB.ch, you can use this to register.

If you do not yet have a SwissPass login you have to register so that your vehicle registration number can be checked at the P+Rail facility and the parking fee can be charged via the means of payment you have saved.

No. As with all parking tickets, you are entitled to park with the P+Rail app but there is no guarantee of a parking space being free.

Tip: only buy your parking ticket once you have found a free space at the car park.

You can currently buy parking tickets for around 380 facilities throughout Switzerland. New P+Rail facilities are constantly being added.

Yes. You can store several registration numbers in the menu under “Edit registration plate number”.

You can pay your parking tickets with Twint, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Postfinance Card, Diners Club and Reka. 

You can also use the payment methods saved in the SBB Mobile app to pay in the P+Rail app and vice versa (with the exception of monthly invoicing).

Yes. You can park from one hour to a maximum of seven days.

No. You can use the P+Rail app to pay for single hours at a time or for between one day and a maximum of seven days.

You can buy parking tickets up to a maximum of seven days in advance.

After you have bought your parking ticket a receipt is sent to the e-mail address saved on your profile. You will find a summary of your parking tickets on the menu under “My car park tickets”.

Staff check whether you have a valid parking ticket by searching for your registration number on their mobile devices.

Yes. You can buy a parking ticket using the same account at the same facility or a different one.

All parking tickets purchased can be viewed on the home screen of the P+Rail app during their validity period, and subsequently on the menu under “My car park tickets”.

Yes. You can extend current parking tickets up to a maximum of 7 days’ validity at any time. Proceed as follows:

1. Open the P+Rail app.
2. Go to “Settings”.
3. Click on “My car park tickets”.
4. Select the relevant parking ticket and extend it by following the instructions in the app.

Note: you will be charged a maximum of the daily rate for each day.
