The approach to the 2,350-metre-high Brienzer Rothorn is a pleasure in itself. There are two ways to get to the high point – you choose. You can experience a light and airy journey with spectacular views from Sörenberg in the canton of Lucerne. Or from Brienz in the canton of Bern you can make the climb on the steam railway, which is over 125 years old. On this trip you see, hear, smell and discover how steam is produced by coal and water.
