• Exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus.
  • New perspective on the Bauhaus.
  • History of its reception outside Europe.

100 years of Bauhaus – celebrating the anniversary of an important chapter in the history of architecture and design. The exhibition in the Zentrum Paul Klee provides a new perspective on the Bauhaus.

Johannes Itten and Paul Klee, both residents of Bern, were among the first Bauhaus masters and played a decisive role in shaping the legendary School of Design, which was founded in Weimar in 1919. Although it only existed for 14 years, its effects are still felt today. The exhibition at the Zentrum Paul Klee celebrates the masters and, for the first time, examines the history of how the Bauhaus was received outside Europe.
