Thanks to the Swiss Runners Ticket, registered runners benefit from free 2nd class travel to and from Bern for the Gurten Classic (29 October 2023).
The 41st Gurten Classic will be held on Sunday, 29 October 2023. Whether on foot or by racing bike, this traditional sporting event on the Gurten – Bern’s local mountain – is guaranteed to be both a challenge and an amazing experience for all. You can participate in the 15-kilometre ‘Classic Run’, the 9-kilometre ‘Short Run’, the 10-kilometre ‘Walking Event’ or the 40-kilometre bike race over seven hills and through seven municipalities. Children can start running from the Gurtewiese or run together with their parents in the ‘family’ category.
