Guido Baselgia (born 1953) calls his most recent works “The Colours of the Air”. After decades of creativity, the artist is displaying colour photographs for the first time at Kunsthaus Zug. These are fascinating landscape images that he captured with a mobile camera obscura. They were taken in northern Norway, on the Piz Languard near Pontresina and in the Atlantic. Based on this eye-catching group of works, the exhibition brings together selected pieces from all Baselgia’s creative periods since the 1980s. His graphic and pictorial images bear witness to a lifetime of exploring the world. They also point to a search for the beginnings of photography and its magic as an unadulterated, natural image consisting of light and the colours of the air. Curated by Matthias Haldemann.
