Lucerne Festival in Summer. 11 August to 10 September 2017.

“Identity” serves as the motto for summer 2017: a highly topical issue in the complex nexus of globalisation and migration. The festival welcomes world famous soloists and conductors – and of course top international orchestras. The violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and the young cellist Jay Campbell are featured as “artistes étoiles”. And Riccardo Chailly and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra perform orchestral works from Beethoven to Stravinsky.
