For 12 days, some 750 athletes belonging to the international climbing elite will gather in the PostFinance Arena in Bern for the World Championships. The world’s best will be competing for gold, silver and bronze in the disciplines of boulder, lead, speed, and boulder and lead. The world championships in paraclimbing – climbing for people with disabilities – will also be held in the midst of all this. The award ceremonies take place together following the last competitions of each day in the PostFinance Arena.
In addition to the World Cup spectacle with 8,000 spectators in the arena and the extensive supporting programme outside, there will be another very special sporting highlight: In addition to the world championship, the first qualifying event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will also be taking place in Bern.
