Travel route: from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch and back.

1st day: individual rail journey from your place of residence to Interlaken. Overnight stay with breakfast in Interlaken.

2nd day: rail journey from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. You change here and take the Jungfrau railway to Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m above sea level). Then the journey continues through the glacier world of the Jungfrau and through a 7-kilometre tunnel across the Eiger North Face. The trip can also be made from Grindelwald Terminal with the Eiger Express. Arriving at the Jungfraujoch, a high Alpine world of wonder consisting of ice, snow and cliffs, opens up to you. From the “Sphinx” viewing platform you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Jungfrau and Aletsch glaciers.
The return journey with the Jungfrau railway once again runs via Kleine Scheidegg to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald and then on to Interlaken. Individual rail journey back to your place of residence or an extended stay in the region.

Additional information.

• The Jungfrau railways trains are very busy in the summer and we recommend that you arrive on time at Interlaken Ost station, or even take an earlier train.
• Please note that on the journey to the Jungfraujoch you have to change at Kleine Scheidegg and in Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald.
  
• The journey time from Interlaken with the Jungfrau Railways is approx. 2 hours one way. The faster variant with the Eiger Express takes about 1.5 hours.
