Conditions of entry.

Entry into the SBB prize draw is free of charge and independent of any purchase or the use of any paid services. The participant does not enter into any contractual or other legal commitments with regard to SBB or any other third parties. The data entered by the participant will not be passed on to third parties, nor will third parties be permitted to use them. Only adults with legal competence are authorised to enter this prize draw. Employees of SBB and their relatives as well as any agencies working under contract for SBB and their employees are excluded from participation. By entering the prize draw, the participant declares his or her consent with the rules of the prize draw:

1. Data protection.

The protection of privacy is an important concern for SBB. The SBB data protection declaration (Privacy Policy) can be read under the following link:

2. To enter.

For participation in the prize draw to be valid, the participant must have entered the competition and registered by completing the form. This information is automatically transmitted to SBB. No purchase is necessary. Anyone with a valid Swiss postal address can enter.

The competition period begins on 15.04.2019 and ends automatically on 15.04.2020.

The prizes will be distributed among participants at the end of the competition period. The winners will be selected at random.

3 Informing and confirming the winners.

Once the winners have been chosen, they will be informed in writing at the address they stated.

4 Payment.

The prizes will be delivered only to the winners. The prizes will only be awarded in the form of a material prize. It is not possible to exchange a prize and no cash equivalents will be paid. Once a winner acknowledges a win, SBB will send the prize to the address provided. Risk in relation to the material prize transfers to the winner at this point. The winner is responsible for paying any taxes due on the prize.

5. Disqualification from the competition.

SBB reserves the right to exclude certain participants from the prize draw for justified reasons, e.g. a breach of the conditions of entry, influencing the prize draw, manipulation, etc.

6. Judge's decision.

No correspondence will be entered into about the competition. The judge’s decision is final. Participants may not make enforceable claims regarding the awarding, payment or exchange of prizes. Swiss law will apply exclusively.

7. Changes to conditions of entry and end of the competition.

SBB reserves the right to change the competition, entry or draw conditions at any time. Furthermore, SBB reserves the right to terminate or suspend the prize draw at any time. This applies in particular in the event of circumstances that would disrupt or prevent the prize draw from being conducted as planned.

8. Liability.

To the extent permitted by law, SBB accepts no liability whatsoever.

9. Severability clause.

Should individual provisions of these conditions of entry be ineffective or unenforceable, the legal effectiveness of the remaining provisions is not affected. Ineffective or unenforceable provisions will be replaced by effective and enforceable provisions which correspond as closely as possible with the commercial intent of SBB. In case of a discrepancy between the German, French, Italian or English versions of these conditions of entry, the German version is authoritative.

SBB reserves the right to modify these conditions of entry at any time.
