Lavaux UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Considered a site of universal value, Lavaux has been elevated to the status of world heritage site by UNESCO, its mosaic of vines welcoming many walkers seeking renewed vitality and tranquility.

In the 11th century already, monks were growing grapes on the slopes above Lake Geneva. Since then, generations of winegrowers applied and developed longstanding cultural traditions. Today, this still thriving cultural landscape  overs 40 km along the lake shore and includes 14 villages. Link opens in new window.
