We collect your luggage from your address in Switzerland the day before your departure. You can choose a time window for collection.
With the “check-in” option, we check in your luggage and you can collect it again at your destination airport abroad. Your boarding card and luggage labels will also be issued directly.
Without the “check-in” option, you can collect your luggage from the SBB luggage counter at Zurich Airport. You must check in with Edelweiss yourself.
If you opt for express delivery, we will collect your luggage from your address on your day of departure and transport it to Zurich Airport the same day. Depending on your chosen option, we will check it in for you or you can collect it from the luggage counter at Zurich Airport.

Flight luggage foreign airport to door.
Your luggage can be shipped from any airport in the world to your home in Switzerland or Liechtenstein on the same or the following day. In this case, you hand in your luggage on the day of your flight and get it back on the day you arrive back in Switzerland. You can choose between two time windows for delivery.

Flights from another country landing by 11 p.m. at Zurich Airport.
Express: flights from another country landing by 11:45 noon at Zurich Airport.
Luggage delivery one day after arrival in Switzerland to all localities (except those that are traffic-free).
Delivery time windows: 1-6 p.m. or 6-11 p.m.
Express: luggage delivery on the same day of arrival in Switzerland to selected localities.
Pick-up and delivery points must have postal addresses in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and be suitable for vehicle access. Otherwise the carrier designates a suitable handover point when confirming the arrangement on the previous day.
Weight: between 23 and 32 kg, depending on your flight class. The valid weight limit is stated in your ticket confirmation.
Packaging: skiing equipment must be packed in personal wrapping or in that of the transport company.
Items with special packaging requirements:
Skis and ski boots are to be packed separately in pairs in the appropriate plastic cover provided by the transport company
Multiple pairs in personal bags up to a maximum weight of 25 kg
1 snowboard per plastic cover provided by the transport company or multiple pairs in personal bags up to max. 25 kg
The luggage to be transported must be labelled with a name, address and telephone number and be packed appropriately.
Transfer back from another country to Switzerland can be booked.
Luggage may only be presented with a valid ticket for the whole route or a SwissPass GA/Half-Fare travelcard and annual travelcard (GA travelcard, point-to-point travelcard, Half-Fare travelcard (1, 2 or 3 years), regional travelcard, travel discount for SBB employees, seven25 Travelcard, inter-regional travelcard).
Liability for the partial or total loss, damage and delayed delivery of luggage shall be governed by the Swiss Federal Passenger Transportation Act (PTA) and the applicable Passenger Transportation Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Council.
Check-in is not possible in the following cases:
For passengers with a "light" tariff or a flight within Europe that does not include luggage, even if luggage transfer has been purchased online in advance. You should check with the airline direct whether you have purchased a light tariff, if this is not clearly stated in your documentation.
For codeshare flights with other airlines.
If passenger data are missing or invalid (API) or a visa or ESTA travel approval is missing, we cannot provide you with your boarding card. In this event you should present your valid travel documents at the relevant luggage counter at the airport at least one hour before departure. The luggage carrier will give you an accompanying letter containing information on exactly how to proceed.
We shall also be unable to give you your boarding card if you have not yet paid the additional-luggage charge. You can obtain it by paying the charge at the relevant luggage counter at the airport. Documents to be presented at pick-up:
a valid passport, with visa if required
your flight confirmation: reservation or ticket number.
