Replacement trains at your service.

Replacement trains are used when services are restricted. They ensure that the trains can continue to run according to the timetable despite unusual circumstances.

Thus, we can assure that trains can run on schedule despite of operational restrictions. Since this rolling stock is only used infrequently, it does not always comply with the normal comfort standards, as for instance air-conditioning.

The SBB are constantly investing in acquisition and modernisation of their rolling stock. Therefore, also the replacement trains will only run air-conditioned by the end of 2020.

With this effort, we do our utmost to assure that the trains always run on schedule and in the accustomed quality, even when our service is disturbed exceptionally.
