When travelling abroad from Switzerland, enjoy a wide range of catering options in the dining cars of SBB and its partner railways.
For international rail services, SBB Restaurants will initially be open on in Switzerland. On sectins of the route in neighbouring countries, the opening of SBB Restaurants will be coordinated in accordance with the guidelines in force in each respective country.

Typical Bavarian specialty in the SBB Restaurant to Munich.
Until October 2, 2022 you can enjoy a typical Bavarian specialty in the SBB Restaurant to Munich:
white sausages with pretzel and sweet mustard for CHF 12.50,
or as a menu with beer of your choice for CHF 16.50.
Intercity-Express (ICE) trains.
In the on-board bistro or on-board restaurant on ICE trains, a variety of seasonal dishes awaits you. We will also be glad to serve you at your seat in 1st class.
Seat reservation in the on-board restaurant.
Individual passengers.
Individual passengers cannot reserve seats in the on-board restaurant.
Groups.
Groups of at least four up to a maximum of 28 passengers can reserve seats in the on-board restaurant. We ask that you pre-order the required menus when the booking is made.
Groups of ten or more may pre-order food and drink to be served at their seats in 1st or 2nd class.

Seats in the on-board restaurant can be reserved up to five days before departure.
Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 4 pm
Friday: 9 am to 3 pm
EuroCity (EC) trains.
From Switzerland you can travel on EC trains to Munich or Hamburg Altona. On these trains, you can enjoy the varied catering offerings in the SBB Restaurants, which are open for the duration of the journey. Many of our delicious dishes can be picked up in the SBB Restaurant and enjoyed at your seat.
EuroCity (EC) trains.
Travel to Italy on the EC trains of SBB and Trenitalia. On SBB trains, you can enjoy the wide selection of catering options in the SBB Restaurants from 6.30 am to 9 pm In addition, you can take advantage of a varied take-away service.
The 3G rule (vaccinated, recovered or tested) is applied in long-distance and indoor restaurant areas. An FFP2 mask is required for travel and may be taken off in the restaurant.

Individual passengers.
You can book seats in the SBB Restaurant direct at the SBB ticket counter or by telephone via SBB Contact Center 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.). We deduct the booking supplement of CHF 5 per seat from your meal bill.
Booking terms.
Seats in the SBB Restaurant can be reserved up to one day before departure.
Groups.
For groups of ten or more, we can organise special menus in the SBB Restaurant or other individual catering services on request. Please order the required menus at least five working days before departure.
The TGV Lyria on-board bistro offers a varied catering service. Between Switzerland and Dijon or Paris, we serve food at your seat in Business 1ÈRE class. In Standard 1ÈRE and Standard classes, you can purchase snacks and beverages in the on-board bistro or from the refreshment trolley.
As the TGV Lyria on-board bistro has no seating, seat reservations cannot be made.

Groups of ten or more in Standard 1ÈRE and Standard class can pre-order food and beverages for at-seat service up to ten days before departure.
Enjoy a wide selection of dishes and beverages in the Railjet restaurant. Many products are also available to take away. In 1st class, we can serve you the whole range at your seat on request. On Railjet trains you can also order and pay online via the Railnet portal.

Individual seats cannot be reserved in the Railjet restaurant. For groups we recommend reserving seats in the Railjet restaurant and/or placing food orders in advance.
