SBB Catering 3.0.
Ready for service! Try out the new on-board catering concept, SBB Catering 3.0.
A new concept for new customer requirements.
On-board catering has changed dramatically over the decades. While on-board catering was very much the preserve of the social elite during the early days, technical progress and innovations made it possible to offer all passengers affordable meals on longer journeys from the 1950s onwards. However, train journeys have become shorter and shorter, our customers’ eating habits have changed and catering services in stations have become increasingly important. The time was therefore ripe for a rethink of on-board catering for the new generation and to enhance catering by adding a true hallmark of gastronomy: hospitality! Welcome to the new SBB Catering 3.0!
You can recognise the trains equipped with SBB Catering 3.0 by the “New Catering” symbol on the dining car.
Our SBB catering 3.0 concept will continue to feature our coffee partner StarbucksLink opens in new window., already a much-loved and well-known name in on-board catering. The world’s largest chain of coffee shops is just as famous for its wide range of hot drinks as it is for conjuring up a cosy ambience that invites you to stay and watch the world go by.
Wine: Mövenpick Wein.
Our partner Mövenpick WeinLink opens in new window. is one of Switzerland’s leading suppliers of quality wines. Enjoy high-quality wine culture on board thanks to Mövenpick Wein and SBB Catering 3.0.
Hops lie at the heart of Ittinger Amber Beer. No other Swiss beer contains more hops. Grown exclusively in the hop garden at Ittingen CharterhouseLink opens in new window. and harvested in the summer, the hops are what make this amber beer speciality such a superior product.
