Here you can find the most important changes to luggage and flight luggage with effect from 5 June 2018.
From 5 June 2018, the station-to-station luggage service will be reduced from around 400 to 260 or so stations. In areas of Switzerland popular with tourists and skiers, most stations will continue to handle luggage.
As an alternative, you will be able to use the existing door-to-door luggage service as well as the new door-to-station or station-to-door service.
Delivery of bicycles only possible for the service luggage station to station.
Express flight luggage at the station will no longer be available as of 5 June 2018.
However, you will still be able to use the existing Express flight luggage service from your door to Zurich Airport or the Express flight luggage service from your door to an airport in another country with check-in in selected locations.
From 5 June 2018, all flight luggage services for Geneva Airport will be discontinued.
You will no longer be able to send flight luggage from the station to Geneva Airport or order your flight luggage to be collected from your door and taken to Geneva Airport or an airport abroad with check-in.
Registering flight luggage from abroad via Geneva Airport will also no longer be possible.
The SBB luggage counter at Geneva Airport will remain open for sending and receiving station-to-station luggage, door-to-station luggage, station-to-door luggage and station-to-door luggage in Germany.
