With or without a SwissPass, at certain P+Rail locations, you can charge your electric car while it is parked.

Charging with the SwissPass.

Charge your electric car easily with the SwissPass – without registering beforehand. How it works:

• Start the charging process for your electric car by holding your SwissPass up to the contactless symbol on the charging station. Once the charging process has begun, the light flashes white. 
• To stop the charging process, hold your SwissPass up to the contactless symbol on the charging station once again. Alternatively, you can also stop the charging process by disconnecting the charging station cable.

To use the service, you need a valid SwissPass, a SwissPass login and a profile on SBB.ch or SBB Mobile. A valid payment method must be stored in your profile (e.g. credit card, PostFinance Card, Twint). It is not possible to pay by invoice or using a Reka-Card.

Charging without a SwissPass.

If you do not have a SwissPass, you can use the web payment solution. Follow the step-by-step instructions and don't forget to also buy a car park ticket. 

1. Scan the QR code on the swisscharge.ch sticker on the charging station.
2. Enter your credit card details to start the charging process and pay.

• P+Rail Burgdorf: two charging stations.
• P+Rail Buchs SG: four charging stations.
• P+Rail Delémont: ten charging stations.
• P+Rail Mellingen Heitersberg: two charging stations.
• P+Rail Rapperswil: two charging stations.
• P+Rail Sargans: two charging stations.
• P+Rail Solothurn: four charging stations.
• P+Rail Stein-Säckingen: four charging stations.
• P+Rail Vevey: four charging stations.

Further locations will follow soon. SBB is planning to add charging stations at further P+Rail locations over the next few years.

Prices.

The charging price at all charging stations is 50 centimes/kWh.

Car park tickets.

• If you charge your car with the SwissPass, a parking ticket is purchased when the charging process is started. This is billed after charging. The prices of the P+Rail location in question apply.
• Holders of a P+Rail pass will not be charged for a parking ticket.
• Charging without a SwissPass: please purchase a separate car park ticket for the relevant P+Rail location.
