Are you travelling in Switzerland with your children? The Swiss Family Card is free of charge for children aged at least 6 and under 16. If you are a parent, you get this when you buy a Swiss Travel Pass / Flex or a Swiss Half Fare Card.

For visitors from abroad.

You are only eligible for a Swiss Family Card if your permanent residence is outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Purchasing.

Buy your Swiss Family Card together with the Swiss Travel Pass / Flex or the Swiss Half Fare Card easily online at SBB.ch or at a staffed public transport point of sale.

Swiss Family Card goes mobile.

You can also show the Swiss Family Card in the SBB Mobile app. This is only possible if you buy the associated Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card online with a login (sign in). (Does not work for Flex versions).

Advantageous offers for children and young people travelling alone.

Children under 16 who are travelling by themselves get a 50% discount on the adult price of the Swiss Travel Pass / Flex.
Young people aged at least 16 and under 25 get a 30% discount on the Swiss Travel Pass / Flex (Youth).
Alternatively, young people aged at least 16 and under 25 can take advantage of discounts of up to 50% on ticket prices for a whole month with the Swiss Half Fare Card.
