The Trip Planner Preview app complements the SBB Mobile app. It enables customers to compare, combine and book a trip involving different modes of transport. These modes of transport include public transport, car sharing, bike sharing, taxi, your own car, your own bike and walking. For example, a train ticket can be purchased and a Mobility car can be reserved at the suggested location directly in the Trip Planner for a trip using the train and Mobility. The Trip Planner is being continually developed and a web version will also be available at a later date.
Mobility behaviour has changed over the last few years and future development is moving more in the direction of intermodality. This is why different modes of transport are combined for a trip from door to door. These days, it is already the case that most customers, where possible, look for the best travel options and combine and use the most appropriate modes of transport. In most cases, the train plays an important role in this. As a mobility service provider, we see the benefit to the customer as being in the forefront and do not adopt a “road vs. rail” attitude. “Working together” creates the most benefit for the customer.
To make the best possible use of the app, we recommend adjusting the settings in the menu to your needs. You can also create your own personal profile (under “Suchprofil”, Search profile).
To purchase public transport tickets and P+Rail tickets, as well as reserve taxis, you currently also need the SBB Mobile app, P+Rail app and go! app.
Your bookings can be viewed under the “Meine geplanten Reisen” (My planned trips) menu item in the Trip Planner Preview app. From there, click on the “Kostenübersicht” (To the cost overview) link to find individual bookings. Purchased services are marked with a symbol. From here, you can then also access your public transport ticket for the inspection on the train, for example.
You can find contact details for SBB and our partners under the “Support” menu item in the Trip Planner Preview app.
