SBB MyWay enables you to gain an overview of how you get around, and thus to travel in a more informed manner. You provide us with data when using MyWay.
The following data are processed when you use SBB MyWay.
- Your contact information: A SwissPass user account is necessary in order to use the service. The data lodged in it, such as name, address or date of birth, may be processed by the MyWay service.
- Data relating to your location, movements and interaction, such as specifically geo-coordinates, their accuracy, their time of localisation, gyro sensor/gyroscope values, acceleration data, barometer/air pressure data, magnetometer data, the movement activity from the operating system and the related confidence levels.
- Technical data, such as specifically device type, operating system version and app version.
- To optimise the app, anonymous tracking data is captured during use and sent to a third-party provider (AT Internet).
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes.
We use the data collected to analyse your mobility and habits. The data may be supplemented by additional data, such as e.g. data concerning the weather or the timetable. We use the data in order to improve the services offered by SBB, for support purposes and for the purpose of operating and improving the app.
Location and duration of data processing.
Your personal data are processed by SBB in Switzerland and Germany and are either anonymised or erased at the latest 36 months after the last recording.
Disclosure to third parties.
Your data may be made available to Swiss higher education institutions and universities in relation to the conduct of mobility studies or research projects with a view to improving or enhancing mobility services in Switzerland.
Your rights in relation to data processing.
You can prevent your movement data from being recorded in the app at any time.
