On the move sustainably: free drinking water from a fountain at your SBB station.

You can fill up your drinking bottle for free at various stations and therefore contribute to reducing plastic waste.

Sometimes made of metal, sometimes of concrete, and other times artistically sculpted in stone – the fountains at SBB stations come in all shapes and sizes. But they have one thing in common: they all provide you with free drinking water.

Since spring 2021, new models of fountains have been introduced at the stations Lausanne (platform 1, sector E) and Winterthur (platform 3, sector D). The fountains are currently being tested. It may be that they will be temporarily out of service during the winter when the temperature drops below zero.

The new fountains will enable SBB stations to provide extensive drinking water in future – a sustainable contribution to reducing plastic waste.
