The SwissPass enables you to have several public transport travelcards on one card. Here you can find out how to buy or renew your travelcards online at SBB.ch, in the SBB Mobile app or at an SBB ticket machine.
Renew monthly travelcards.
You can renew monthly fare network travelcards and Point-to-point and Modular Travelcards most easily online, in the SBB Mobile app or in just three steps at an SBB ticket machine.
Before your travelcard expires, you receive an e-mail or an SMS with a link. Click on the link and just follow the instructions to purchase your travelcard.
You can renew your travelcard in the SBB Mobile app at any time.
Open the SBB Mobile app.
Tap on the “Tickets & SwissPass” title at the top.
Tap on the picture of your SwissPass.
Select “Display travelcards”.
Select “To SwissPass account” --> you will then be redirected to the SwissPass website.
Select “Renew travelcard now” --> you will be redirected to the relevant online shop and can then follow the individual steps to complete the renewal.
How to renew monthly travelcards in the SBB Mobile app.
Touch the start screen and scan your SwissPass below the screen.
Select “Renew”.
Select the first day of validity and pay.

Purchase annual and monthly travelcards.
New annual and monthly fare network travelcards can be bought online at SBB.ch, in an SBB Travel Centre near you or from a staffed public transport point of sale. After purchasing, your travelcard will be available on your SwissPass: on both card and smartphone, provided that you have activated the SwissPass mobile function in the SBB Mobile app.
