Compensation for the GA Travelcard during the coronavirus pandemic extraordinary situation for public transport in spring 2020.

The public transport service offer was significantly restored from 11 May 2020 onwards. All customers who held a GA Travelcard continuously between 17 March and 10 May 2020 received a one-off compensation payment worth 15 travelcard days.

Private customers with a GA Travelcard on a SwissPass.

The payment was automatically credited to customers’ SwissPass accounts by 15 May 2020 at the latest and deducted from the following invoice. Customers did not have to take any action to this end. The credit cannot be paid out in cash.

Private customers with a GA Travelcard on a blue card.

Customers with a GA Travelcard on a blue card also received the compensation. This was sent automatically by post in the form of a Rail Bon. Customers did not have to take any action to this end. The Rail Bon can be used at any staffed public transport point of sale to purchase a new GA Travelcard. The credit cannot be paid out in cash.

Depositing your GA travelcard.

Customers have the option of depositing their GA Travelcard for up to 30 days per travelcard year. Holders of a GA Travelcard on a SwissPass can deposit it using this form. Customers with the GA Travelcard on a blue card can deposit it at any staffed point of sale. Note: the Familia GA Travelcard for children, the Familia GA Travelcard for young adults and the GA Travelcard for dogs cannot be deposited.
