2016 pilot project: SBB Green Class E-Car.

BMW i3.

For the purposes of a research project, SBB Green Class E-Car combined a 1st class GA travelcard, a fully electric BMW i3, a P+Rail parking space at the station, Mobility Carsharing and PubliBike in one mobility package for the first time. The mobility pioneers also benefitted from additional mobility services.

2,500 people applied for the 100 spaces on the SBB Green Class pilot scheme in 2016. Ultimately, 138 mobility pioneers combined environmentally sound forms of transport on the roads with public transport. At the end of 2017, around 70 percent of the pilot customers extended their combined mobility solution by one year.

For the purposes of a research project, SBB Green Class E-Bike combined a 1st or 2nd class GA travelcard, the ST2 e-bike by Stromer and Mobility Carsharing in one mobility package for the first time. The mobility pioneers also benefitted from additional mobility services. This means that they combined environmentally sound forms of transport on the roads with public transport.
