Companion Ticket: your companion travels for just CHF 39.
From 13 April to 29 May 2026, travelling as a pair is especially good value thanks to the Companion Ticket. For just CHF 39, you can take someone along to travel with you for a whole day – in either 1st or 2nd class. Tip: Secure your seat early – so you can enjoy an even more relaxed journey.
Take someone along for the ride for just CHF 39 – instead of CHF 128 (1st class) or CHF 78 (2nd class).
Travel affordably as a pair throughout Switzerland.
Available for use with a GA Travelcard, Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard or Saver Day Pass (1st or 2nd class).
Please note that to take a companion with you, you require one of the following 1st or 2nd class tickets or travelcards yourself: GA Travelcard (incl. Trial GA Travelcard, FVP GA Travelcard), 1-month GA Travelcard, Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard (incl. FVP Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard), Swiss Travel Pass (Flex), Saver Day Pass or Municipal Saver Day Pass.
Your companion does not require a Half Fare Travelcard and travels in the same class as you. The Companion Ticket (electronic format) is in the name of the accompanying person. The Companion Ticket cannot be combined with the Night GA Travelcard, Leisure Pass, Day Pass for Children, Day Pass for Dogs or Day Pass for Friends.
Regular price for a Day Pass for the Half Fare Travelcard: CHF 128 (1st class), CHF 78 (2nd class).
When you purchase a Companion Ticket between 13 April to 29 May 2026, you will also receive a coupon worth CHF 30 to put towards the purchase of a Half Fare Travelcard (also valid for a Half Fare Travelcard for Youth).
The coupon is only valid for new customers. A new customer is a customer who does not hold any other Half Fare Travelcard on the first day of validity. The coupon can be redeemed online or at any staffed public transport point of sale.
