The 1-Month Class Upgrade turns your 2nd class GA Travelcard into a 1st class GA Travelcard for a whole month, so you can enjoy more legroom and greater comfort.
The 1-Month Class Upgrade at the standard price of CHF 225 is available for the GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds and the GA Travelcard for Adults.
The 1-Month Class Upgrade is available at the reduced price of CHF 165 for the GA Travelcard for Children, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for Seniors, GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons, GA Travelcard Familia for Youth, GA Travelcard Familia for Adults or GA Travelcard for Duos (provided the basic GA Travelcard has also been purchased for 1st class or a 1-Month Class Upgrade has been bought for the basic GA Travelcard with the same first day of validity).
To make the switch to 1st class for a month, you need to have one of the following 2nd class GA Travelcards: GA Travelcard for Children, GA Travelcard for Youth, GA Travelcard for 25 Year Olds, GA Travelcard for Adults, GA Travelcard for Seniors, GA Travelcard for Disabled Persons, GA Travelcard Familia for Youth, GA Travelcard Familia for Adults or GA Travelcard for Duos (provided the basic GA Travelcard has also been purchased for 1st class or a 1-Month Class Upgrade has been bought for the basic GA Travelcard with the same first day of validity).
The 1-Month Class Upgrade for the GA Travelcard can be purchased conveniently online at SBB.ch or at a staffed public transport point of sale.
The 1-Month Class Upgrade is valid wherever the GA Travelcard is valid, in other words, within the GA Travelcard area of validity.
There is no 1-Month Class Upgrade for the GA Travelcard Familia for Children or the 1-month GA Travelcard.
You can exchange your 2nd class GA Travelcard for a 1st class GA Travelcard at any time during its period of validity. You will be credited the remaining time for your 2nd class GA Travelcard on a pro rata basis. (A permanent class upgrade for the GA Travelcard for Duos and the GA Travelcard Familia for Adults is only permitted if combined with a 1st class GA Travelcard.)
