Dog Pass.

For CHF 350 per year or CHF 60 per month, your dog can accompany you on public transport. It doesn’t matter whether you travel with the dog in 1st or 2nd class.

What the Dog Pass offers.

For CHF 350 per year or CHF 60 per month.

With the Yearly Dog Pass for CHF 350, you can take your dog with you for one year on trains, boats and PostBus routes, as well as trams and buses in most Swiss cities and urban areas. If you look after a dog for a certain period of time, you can take it with you on public transport for CHF 60 per month.

Valid in 1st and 2nd class.

The Dog Pass is not class-specific and is valid in 1st and 2nd class. However, you must have a valid ticket or travelcard in the relevant class for yourself.

One Dog Pass per person.

If other people also travel frequently alone with the same dog, each person requires their own Dog Pass. If other people occasionally travel with the dog, they can buy a 2nd class Point-to-Point Ticket at half price or a Day Pass for Dogs for the dog (plus a ticket for themselves).

Tip: small dogs free of charge.

Small dogs travel free of charge. If your dog is smaller than 30cm (height at the withers) and you place it in a transport box, basket or other suitable container under your seat, the dog can be carried free of charge as hand luggage.

Purchase with a SwissPass.

With your SwissPass, the Dog Pass can be purchased conveniently online at SBB.ch, at ticket machines or at a staffed public transport point of sale.

Purchase without a SwissPass.

The Dog Pass can be purchased together with your new SwissPass online or at a staffed public transport point of sale. An identity check is required for purchase.

Personal and non-transferable.

The Dog Pass is integrated into your SwissPass and is personal and non-transferable.

Area of validity.

The Dog Pass is valid wherever the GA Travelcard is valid: within the GA Travelcard area of validity.

Space under the seat.

On public transport, your dog must be placed under the seat so as not to block the way for other passengers.

Renewal.

You can renew your Dog Pass conveniently online, at the ticket machine, or at a staffed point of sale. To renew online, use the link you receive in the renewal e-mail.

Refunds.

Yearly Dog Pass.

If you no longer need the Yearly Dog Pass, and you have not reached the end of the second month of its validity, you can return it.

Before the end of the first travelcard month, you get 50% of the purchase price back.
Before the end of the second travelcard month, you get 25% refunded.
Refunds are not possible after this.

Monthly Dog Pass.

If you no longer need the monthly Dog Pass within the first 7 days, you can return it.

Until the 7th day of validity, you get 50% of the purchase price back. You are also liable for a retention fee of CHF 10.
Returns are no longer possible from the 8th day of validity.

Day Pass for Dogs.

For just CHF 25 a day.

If you only travel with your dog occasionally, it’s easiest to buy a Day Pass for Dogs.
