Dogs can travel freely all day.

If you have a valid ticket, you can buy a 1-day travelpass for dogs for 25 francs. This will allow your four-legged friend to travel with you for a whole calendar day on trains, ships, postbus lines, and tram and bus routes in most Swiss cities and urban areas.

1-day travelpasses for dogs are not designated for a specific class and may be used in 1st and 2nd class. However, the accompanying person must have a valid ticket for the relevant class.

Small dogs travel free of charge.

If your dog is under 30 cm in height (up to their shoulder blades) and is being carried in a transportation box, basket or other suitable container, your dog may travel free of charge as hand luggage.

How to buy your 1-day travelpass for dogs.

You can purchase the 1-day travelpass for dogs at public transport points of sale, from ticket machines, conveniently online at SBB.ch or via a mobile device using the app.

If you purchase your 1-day travelpass online, under "Who is travelling?" you must enter the surname, first name and date of birth of the accompanying person.
