With the Bodensee Ticket (available as a Day Pass or 3-Day Pass), you can travel through the countries bordering Lake Constance – Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The ideal ticket for trips in the entire Lake Constance four-country border region.
A zone system applies to the Bodensee Ticket across the entire network area. The zone map shows you which zones are required for a trip from A to B. Within the selected zones and the period of validity, trains and buses from the participating regional transport and fare networks as well as two year-round ferry services across Lake Constance are included in the price.
The Bodensee Ticket is available for the East, West and East and West zones or for all zones (East, West and South) – both for individual people as well as for families and small groups.
- For journeys beyond the limits of the participating networks, the Bodensee Ticket is valid up to the last timetabled stop in the selected zones. If you wish to continue on further with your journey, then purchase a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your Bodensee Ticket to the final stop of your journey.
- If your train does not stop in the Bodensee Ticket zones you purchased, your ticket is not valid. Please buy a ticket at a standard fare instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
- In Germany, the Bodensee Ticket is not valid on long-distance trains. In particular, it is not valid on InterCity trains between Schaffhausen (CH) and Singen am Hohentwiel (D) and is also not valid on ICE/RJX trains between Lindau, Friedrichshafen and Aulendorf.
