Then, pick it up from the SBB luggage counter at Zurich Airport between 6.30am and 9pm on the day of your flight. You then check your luggage in with the relevant airline yourself.
Book luggage transport from a foreign airport to a Swiss railway station while at a railway station on your outward journey in Switzerland. For the import process with customs at Zurich Airport, we require information about your flight, your contact details and the address where you are staying in Switzerland. Once you have provided your details, you will receive a green plastic cover for each item of luggage as well as the completed customs declaration. Please ensure that your flight luggage fulfils all of the conditions.
Before checking in for the return flight, sign the customs declaration for each item of luggage, place it in the green plastic cover and attach it to the relevant item of luggage.
Pick up your luggage again on the day after next, or with express delivery on the same day or the next, at a selected railway station in Switzerland. Please note the local opening hours, and/or the different luggage drop-off and pick-up times at your chosen railway station.
- Luggage: bags, suitcases, sacks, boxes up to 23kg.
- Skiing equipment: skis, ski boots, poles, snowboards packed in ski or snowboard bags and sledges up to 23kg.
- Bicycles, surfboards and windsurfing equipment cannot be shipped.
- Maximum weight for luggage and ski equipment: 23kg.

- Skis, ski boots and snowboards can be packed separately in pairs in an appropriate public transport cover. Transport covers can be obtained in advance at a station with luggage check-in or during check-in.
- Personal ski and snowboard bags must not exceed 23kg.
- Objects must not be tied together.
- The luggage to be transported must be labelled with a name, address and telephone number and be packed appropriately.
- The shipping of luggage is only possible with a valid ticket for the entire transport route or with a valid annual travelcard (GA Travelcard, Half Fare Travelcard, Point-to-Point Travelcard, Regional Travelcard, GA Travelcard for SBB employees, Night GA Travelcard, Modular Travelcard).
- The shipping of luggage is not possible if it involves commercial consignments and private consignments unrelated to travel (e.g. shipping of goods sold/ordered, merchandise, removals, etc.).
- Liability for the partial or total loss, damage and delayed delivery of luggage shall be governed by the Swiss Federal Passenger Transportation Act (PTA) and the applicable Passenger Transportation Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Council.
- Flight luggage station to Zurich Airport is mainly transported by rail. Micro-distribution is carried out by road. The public transport sector currently handles an average of 70% of luggage transport by rail and 30% by road.
- The luggage must not contain any goods received or purchased abroad (including duty-free quantities).
- The luggage must not be locked to ensure that it can be inspected by customs. However, if luggage items are locked and opened by customs, no liability is accepted for any damage caused in connection with the opening of the fasteners/locks.
- If an inspection reveals a violation of import regulations, the luggage item will be retained and customs will get in contact directly. Any fees must be paid directly to customs. Once the luggage item is released, it will be forwarded to the destination station. In this case, liability for delays is rejected.
- The provisions of the tariff basis of Alliance SwissPass respectively the tariffs for luggage of T602 apply.
