Come and visit the Western Union location in your local SBB Travel Centre and bring a valid official ID with you.
Enter the recipient country, the transfer amount and the full name of the recipient.
The customer consultants record your details, check your personal data and print out the transaction receipt for sending the money.
Check that all information on the transaction receipt is correct and confirm this with your signature.
Once you have paid the transfer amount and signed the transaction receipt for the money transfer, your ID will be returned to you along with a receipt for the money transfer. This transaction receipt shows the Western Union transaction number (Money Transfer Control Number, MTCN for short).
The money will be ready for collection a few minutes later. Inform the recipient that they can pick the money up at a Western Union location of their choice in the recipient country. To collect the money, the recipient must state the transaction number (MTCN), the full name of the sender, the country of origin and the exact amount.

At the counter, state the transaction number (MTCN), the country of origin of the transfer, the full name of the sender and the expected payout amount.
The counter staff will check your ID and the above information.
If the information matches and the money is ready for collection, you will be given a transaction receipt for receiving the money.
Check the details on the transaction receipt. If the details are correct, sign the transaction receipt. The customer consultant will pay you the money and issue you with a receipt.
With the Western Union loyalty programme ‘My WU’, you receive bonus points for every cash transfer. Your points will get you discounts on future money transfers. Visit one of the 170 SBB stations with a Western Union counter with a valid identity card or a valid passport. Starting with your first transaction, you will start collecting bonus points.
