On the move early or late: taking night connections to your destination.

National and regional night connections mean that even night owls can get home safely when it’s late, air passengers can get to the airport on time and day trippers can reach their destinations early.

National night connections.

In 2026, on weekends, you can benefit from enhanced night-time services on the Bern–Zurich–Winterthur route, as well as in French-speaking Switzerland.

An overview of the most important new connections.

There are now national night trains running on the Bern–Olten–Zürich HB(–Zurich Airport)–Winterthur line. In Bern, Olten and Zurich, there are connections to regional night S-Bahns and night buses. All connections can be found in the online timetable.

On many weekends, national night trains operate on the lines Fribourg/Freiburg–Lausanne–Geneva Airport, Sion–Lausanne–Geneva Airport and Biel/Bienne–Lausanne with a connection to Geneva Airport. All connections can be found in the online timetable.

On national night trains, the usual tickets are valid, as are travelcards such as the GA Travelcard and the Half Fare Travelcard. There is no night supplement.
Plan your journey in advance and benefit from the limited numbers of Supersaver Tickets.
For more comfort, travel in 1st class.
Seat reservations are not required.
