The Arcobaleno fare network combines ten transport companies of the canton of Ticino as well as the regions of Val Mesolcina and Val Calanca (Moesano). The same straightforward fare system applies across the entire Arcobaleno area. Whether your journey is urban or rural, there is only one ticket you need.
The zone system applies to all tickets across the Arcobaleno fare network. The zone map shows you how many adjoining zones (areas) you need to purchase to get from A to B. Whether you travel by train, bus, boat or funicular – within the zones covered and the period of validity, all public transport services are included within the fare.
Junior Travelcard and Children’s Co-Travelcard – the family discounts of the Swiss transport companies – are also valid within the Arcobaleno fare network.
If you have a Half Fare Travelcard, you benefit from reduced prices on all single, group and multiple-journey tickets and Day Passes.
With TILO Pigiama, you can get home safely and comfortably at night by public transport at weekends.
With your Arcobaleno ticket, you can take advantage of a discount of up to 50% off numerous leisure time activities.
You can get information and answers to questions about Arcobaleno from the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min., 24/7).
- If you would like to travel beyond the limits of your valid Arcobaleno ticket, you will need a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your Arcobaleno ticket to the final stop of your journey.
- If your train does not stop in the Arcobaleno zones you purchased, your ticket is not valid. Please buy a ticket at the standard fare instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
