For CHF 15, you can take your bicycle or e-bike with you on public transport for one day. You must load and unload it yourself.
The Bike Day Pass can be purchased conveniently online at SBB.ch or in the SBB Mobile / Preview app, at ticket machines or at staffed public transport points of sale.
When purchasing on SBB.ch or in the apps, you must enter your first name, surname and date of birth under ‘Who is travelling?’ (or the details for the person who is travelling with the bike).
The Bike Day Pass can also be purchased online or in the app using the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS: simply use the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS as the payment method.
From 21 March to 31 October, you will need a bike space reservation for your bike on InterCity (IC) trains.
The Bike Day Pass is valid on the selected day until 5am the following day. You can find out which transport companies allow you to load your bicycle yourself in the PDF file in the column ‘T600 bike self-service’ under section 0.1 ‘Transport companies rail/bus/boat, local transport and transport associations’. If it says ‘yes’ here, you can take your bike with you.
- Children (aged 6 to under 16) can take their children’s bike or trailer bike with them free of charge provided they are accompanied by a person aged 16 or over.
- Children with a GA Travelcard for Children or a GA Travelcard Familia for Children can take their bike with them for free even when on their own.
- For children under 6 years old, children’s bikes are considered hand luggage and can be transported free of charge.
If you only want to take your bike on a short journey and you are happy to load it yourself, it may be cheaper to buy a Point-to-Point Ticket for your bike. To do so, enter your chosen route into the timetable and purchase the bike ticket.
