The Frimobil fare network unites six transport companies in the canton of Fribourg and the region of Broye in Vaud. The same straightforward fare system applies across the entire Frimobil area. Whether your journey is urban or rural, there is only one ticket you need.
The zone system applies to all tickets across the Frimobil fare network. The zone plan shows you how many adjoining zones (areas) you need to purchase to get from A to B. Whether you travel by train, bus or funicular – within the zones covered and the period of validity, all public transport services are included within the fare.
The Junior Travelcard and the Children’s Co-Travelcard – the family discounts of the Swiss transport companies – are also valid within the Frimobil fare network.
If you have a Half Fare Travelcard, you benefit from reduced prices on all single tickets, group tickets and Day Passes.
With the Transports publics fribourgeois (TPF) nighttime Network, you can get home safely and comfortably by public transport at the weekend and at night.
With your Frimobil ticket, you benefit from discounts of up to 50% on numerous leisure time activities.
You can get information and answers to questions about Frimobil from the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min., 24/7).
- If you would like to travel beyond the limits of your Frimobil ticket, you will need a zone upgrade. This will be needed from the last timetabled stop within your Frimobil ticket to the final stop of your journey.
- If your train does not stop in the Frimobil zones you purchased, your Frimobil ticket is not valid. Please buy a standard-price ticket instead (or a Supersaver Ticket).
